Ridgeway training methods only involve gentle persuasion, firmness and reward. The dogs very quickly realise what is expected of them. No coercion is ever used.

Security Dogs:

Our security dogs are all trained to meet and exceed British Registered Standards. This includes training in Handler Protection, Obedience and Person Detection.

Personal Protection Dogs:

Personal Protection Dogs tend to make good family companions while offering a visual and physical deterrent to protect your family and secure your property. When training of the dog is complete, our customers are invited to Ridgeway for a Handover and Training Day to make sure they are comfortable and confident with their new companion. Additionally, our staff are always available for after-care advice.

Specialist Search Dogs:

• Explosives Detection Dogs

• Immigration Dogs (trained to identify stowaways. )

• Optical Disc Detection Dogs (trained to detect illegally    produced DVDs and CDs.)

Import Dogs:

We sometimes hold European import dogs if a customer has a specific requirement e.g. breed, origin. We are happy to source these dogs, when required.
